Commentary: Day of Atonement (Yom Kippur) is one of the “appointed days of YHWH’s, sacred occasions,” a day of fasting and atonement on the 10th of Tishri. It follows “Ten Days of Penitence” and is the most important day in the Hebrew Calendar. It is the offering of sacrificial blood of a bull for the single person priest who performs the ritual, and a lot-chosen goat for many people to pay for the sins of the children of Israel. It is interpreted the number 77 on the cross above identifies a single priest (Yeshua) who provides the final sacrificial blood for many on the cross.
