Cipher 10. I AM YHWH Your God (Ex 3:1-6)
1. WHO? (3:1) He (Moses)
2. WHY search for God? (3:1) came to the mountain of God, unto Horeb.
3. HOW seen? (3:2) The angel of YHWH appeared unto him in a flame of fire out of the midst of a bush.
4. WHAT happened? (3:3) Moses turned aside to see this great sight, why the bush is not burnt.
5. WHEN? (3:4) When YHWH saw that he turned aside to see, God called unto him Moses, Moses.
6. WHERE was God? (3:4) God said, Here am I.
7. WHICH God? (3:5-6) I am the God of thy father, the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob.

Commentary. Joseph was called God of thy father as follows:
In Gen 43:23 the steward of Joseph’s house said to Joseph’s brothers, the God of your father, (Joseph) hath given you treasure in your sacks.
Then in Gen 46:3 God spoke to Jacob, And he said, I am God, the God of thy father: fear not to go down into Egypt:
In Gen 48:15 Jacob blessed Joseph, And he blessed Joseph, and said, The God before whom my fathers Abraham and Isaac did walk, the God who hath fed me all my life long unto this day,
In Gen 50:17-18 Jacob wrote to Joseph about his brothers, forgive the transgression of the servants of the God of thy father. And Joseph wept. And his brethren also went and fell down before his face; and they said, Behold, we are thy servants.
Ex 6:7 is the first of 47 occurrences of “I am YHWH your God”: and I will take you to me for a people, and I will be to you a God; and ye shall know that I am YHWH your God,
