Cipher 57. The Simplicity of Seven Through the Cross (Eph 4:4-6)

1. WHO? (4:4) There is one body,
2. WHY one? (4:4) and one Spirit,
3. HOW Spirit received? (4:4) even as also ye were called in one hope
4. WHAT for? (4:4) of your calling;
5. WHEN called by who? (4:5) one Lord, Jesus
6. WHERE is belief? (4:5) one faith,
7. WHICH way? (4:5-6) one baptism, one God and Father of all, who is over all, and through all, and in all.

Commentary: There is the simplicity of seven ordered questions answered with just three ordered verses. There is the simplicity of the Eph 4:6 Cross with 1–2–3–4th step result: One God and Father of all. Paul writes through all for baptism, which is exactly what Jesus tells us in his 4-step baptism instruction with all nations (one’s personal name) on the foot of the cross, which uses the complete verse of Mat 28. 19.
