Cipher 34. Why Speak Parables? Only the Elect Understands (Mat 13: 10-23)
1. WHO? (13:10) The disciples came, and said unto him, (Jesus)
2. WHY? (13:10) Why speakest thou unto them in parables?
3. HOW to know? (13:11) And he answered and said unto them, Unto you it is given to know the mysteries of the kingdom of heaven, but to them it is not given.
4. WHAT to see and hear (13:12) For whosoever has, to him shall be given, and he shall have abundance: but whosoever has not, from him shall be taken away even that what he hath. (= nothing)
5. WHEN not to understand? (13:13) Therefore speak I to them in parables; because when seeing they see not, and when hearing they hear not, neither do they understand. 14 And unto them is fulfilled the prophecy of Isaiah, which saith, By hearing ye shall hear, and shall in no wise understand; And seeing ye shall see, and shall in no wise perceive:
6. WHERE heard and seen? (13:15) For this people’s heart is waxed gross, And their ears are dull of hearing, And their eyes they have closed; Lest haply they should perceive with their eyes, And hear with their ears, And understand with their heart,
7. WHICH way? (13:15) Lest haply they should perceive with their eyes, And hear with their ears, And understand with their heart, And should turn again, And I should heal them.

Commentary: In the previous cipher at the beginning of Matthew 13 Jesus taught the parable of the sower using four steps through the Cross. Before reciting another four-step interpretation of the parable of the sower (Mat 13: 19-23) Jesus warns in 13:12 that if one does not SEE (behold the Cross) and hear, one will not get an abundant life, and also what one has will be taken away. In other words, one gets nothing, when one does not behold the Cross. The one who can see the Cross of YHWH God (Cipher 10 & 11) has no visual impairment, and can behold the Mat 13:15 Cross above to confirm his/her election.
To be of the elect means to be chosen by God–that is predestined. God shuts down the non-elect according to Mat 13:14 above. Jesus’ Witness Cipher is a call from Seven Spirits of God for the elect to be confirmed. Like the Sower Parable reveals and teaches how to SEE and hear to perceive and understand the Cross. So do all 77 Jesus’ Witness Ciphers.
