7th Letter to Laodicea

Cipher 70.  The 7th Letter to Laodicea Church     (Rev 3:14:22)

1. WHO? (3:14) And to the angel of the church in Laodicea write: These things saith the Amen, the faithful and true witness, the beginning of the creation of God:
2. WHY the letter? (3:15) I know thy works, that thou art neither cold nor hot: I would thou wish cold or hot.
3. HOW? (3:16) So because thou art lukewarm, and neither hot nor cold, I will spit thee out of my mouth.
4. WHAT reason? (3:17) Because thou sayest, I am rich, and have gotten riches, and have need of nothing; and knowest not that thou art the wretched one and miserable and poor and blind and naked.
5. WHEN not blind? (3:18) I counsel thee to buy of me gold refined by fire, that thou mayest become rich; and white garments, that thou mayest clothe thyself, and [that] the shame of thy nakedness be not made manifest; and eyesalve to anoint thine eyes, that thou mayest see.
6. WHERE to go? (3:20) Behold, (this cross) I stand at the door and knock: if any man hear my voice and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me.
7. WHICH way? (3:21-22) He that overcometh, I will give to him to sit down with me in my throne, as I also overcame, and sat down with my Father in his throne. He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith to the churches.

Commentary: Hopefully the reader finds nothing lukewarm in any of the 77 Jesus’ Witness Ciphers. This final seventh letter to the churches features the faithful and true witness, the Amen. It appears doubled in cipher’s 49-52, AMEN, AMEN twenty-five times that witness to the Kingdom of God.  The Rev 3:22 cross above, He That Has An Ear, is the seventh cross repeated exactly seven times for these seven letters to the churches for a reason. The author is trying to reveal the theme of the cross. Consider then another likeness cross: He that has an eye–let him SEE–what the spirit saith–to the churches.
