Cipher 71. Seven Spirits of God Lead to God Almighty Cross (Rev 4:1-8)
1. WHO? (4:1) A voice as of a trumpet speaking with me.
2. WHY? (4:1) Saying I will show thee the things which must come to pass hereafter.
3. HOW? (4:2) Straightway I was in the Spirit: and behold, there was a throne set in heaven.
4. WHAT came? (4:3-5) Out of the throne proceed lightnings, voices, thunders and seven Spirits of God.
5. WHEN did it stop? (4:6-8) No rest day and night for Four living creatures.
6. WHERE? (4:6-8) Before the throne, and in the midst of the throne, and round about the throne.
7. WHICH creatures? (4:6-8) 1st a lion, 2nd a calf, 3rd a face as of a man, 4th a flying eagle.
WHICH way forever? (4:6-8) Holy, holy, holy, is who was and who is and who is to come, Lord God Almighty.
Commentary: It is interpreted that the word throne appears as an image of the cross to be seen, such as the first one above: behold, there was a throne set in heaven from which proceeded seven Spirits of God. The second cross shows the continual activity of four earthling-like creatures, where the birds represent the six wings of each. The third cross illustrates the eternal nature of God with three stages of time–who was, who is and who is to come.
